Drawing from 18th-century French decorative furniture and Rococo interiors, this imposing canopy bed combines a monumental architectural frame with extensive carved ornament and a richly gilded finish.
The bed is structured around four spiral-turned posts, each rising into an elaborate canopy framework with sweeping arches, carved scrollwork and symmetrical foliate ornament. The upper canopy is particularly prominent, with layered mouldings and deeply carved rocaille and acanthus-inspired motifs creating a highly ornamental silhouette. The headboard rises into an elaborate crest, incorporating carved foliage, scrolls and a central ornamental composition above the upholstered panel. Sculpted corner blocks and enriched lower rails continue the decorative vocabulary throughout the structure.
The gilded finish unifies the carved elements, while the darker upholstered and draped textiles provide contrast against the extensive ornament.
Suitable for formal master bedrooms, grand residences, palace-inspired interiors, heritage suites and statement hospitality spaces.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission. The frame can be crafted in teak wood, with oak or ash wood also available to suit the desired finish and interior scheme.
