Nightcap Reverie — French Neoclassical Carved Bar Counter
Neoclassical Carved Architectural Bar
Drawing from French Neoclassical and late eighteenth-century architectural furniture, this bar is structured as a freestanding architectural composition with a broad service counter and raised canopy supported by turned columns.
The lower cabinet uses symmetrical raised-and-recessed panels, rounded corner sections, layered plinth mouldings and carved foliate brackets. Above, the open canopy is framed by a deep cornice with recessed panels and applied botanical ornament, while the supports feature turned shafts, collars and carved capitals. Integrated downlighting beneath the canopy provides functional illumination across the counter and display area. The pale finish emphasizes the moulding hierarchy and carved detailing without obscuring the wood structure.
Designed for private entertaining rooms, dining interiors, hospitality spaces and formal residential bars, the piece can be adapted in scale, timber and finish.
Made to order, with upholstery and finish selected for each commission.
